Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our Back of House team, delivering consistent, high-quality plates in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with teammates to maintain station readiness, execute tickets on time, and uphold food-safety standards while providing a friendly guest experience. Training is ongoing, with advancement opportunities as we grow.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
