Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You’ll cook with speed, accuracy, and pride, set up your station, read tickets, and plate plates with careful presentation.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen with training and development opportunities, flexible schedules, and benefits for eligible staff. This role is ideal for hands-on learners who value hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Guest-oriented mindset and strong teamwork.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety procedures in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• 18+ age requirement for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Label, store, and rotate all food items properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
