Epicurean Hotel is seeking a Line Cook I to join Elevage Soho Kitchen and Bar. You will prepare ingredients, execute basic cuts, and assist in plating to meet exact chef specifications.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma, 1–2 years in a fast-paced kitchen, ServSafe knowledge, and strong teamwork. A passion for high-quality food in a lively hotel dining environment is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Culinary certification is a plus.
• 1-2 years in a high-volume kitchen or equivalent.
• Experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain/renew.
• Proven ability to make great food with consistency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic vegetable cuts and sauces and perform minor butchery of proteins as required.
• Ensure proper preparation and cooking of food during meal periods with team members.
• Plate dishes with precision to meet chef specifications.
• Handle daily prep for regular menu and specials.
• Monitor inventory and notify chef when items need ordering.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked station and prep areas.
• Assist during peak service to keep kitchen operations smooth.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and communicate effectively.
