Job summary

The Buona Companies is hiring a Cook to join our on-site kitchen team in Illinois. You will prepare food to our high-quality standards, follow recipes, and keep a clean, sanitary workspace. This role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction across dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru orders.

Responsibilities include learning multiple stations, maintaining portions, stocking lines, and adhering to health and safety standards while delivering Buona’s signature quality to guests.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and positive attitude.
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Must work to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the following positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitoring food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before serving to guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle waste according to procedures.
• Assist guests—dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru.
• Wash cookware and utensils and clean equipment.
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
