Job summary

The Buona Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare food to our high-quality standards and keep a clean, sanitary workspace. You will cook to order by following recipes and uphold the Buona standard in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities include learning Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep stations, following recipes, managing portions, restocking, maintaining safety, and delivering quality, timely meals to guests at dine-in, takeout or drive-thru areas.

• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate
• Must work to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the following positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes properly such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitoring food levels on the line
• Prepare quality food that meets our Buona standards
• Ensure all food is being made properly before being handed out to guests
• Restock food line
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders
• Handle raw and finished waste according to established procedures
• Act with a sense of urgency with all guests, whether dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru
• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed
• Other duties as assigned
