The Buona Companies in Illinois are hiring a Cook to prepare food to high-quality standards and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace. You will cook to order by following provided recipes and uphold Buona standards.

Learn multiple stations (Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep) and follow recipes, portions and food safety procedures. This role offers tips in addition to hourly pay and benefits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep roles.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain appropriate portion control and monitor food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before being handed out to guests.
• Restock food line.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to established procedures.
• Act with a sense of urgency with all guests, whether dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru.
• Washing cookware and utensils and cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
