Job summary

The Buona Companies in Darien, IL is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality food and keep a clean, sanitary workspace. You will follow recipes and cook to order, upholding the Buona standard and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include learning Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep, maintaining portions, restocking, and ensuring proper food preparation before serving. Training provided. Flexible scheduling and tips available.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and positive attitude.
• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must obtain Food Handler certificate.
• Must work to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn the following positions: Beef, Pizza, Broiler, Cafe/Salads & Prep.
• Follow recipes and food preparation processes such as cooking, seasoning, grilling, chopping, dicing, cutting and slicing.
• Maintain portion control and monitor food levels on the line.
• Prepare quality food that meets Buona standards.
• Ensure all food is made properly before serving to guests.
• Restock food line and comply with health and safety standards.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders and handle waste properly.
• Act with a sense of urgency with all guests (dine-in, takeout, drive-thru).
• Wash cookware and sanitize equipment; perform cleaning as assigned.
