Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a LIHTC Development Consultant to advise affordable housing developers on complex 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions from feasibility to closing. You will lead strategy, perform financial modeling, and manage client relationships, mentoring staff along the way.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of LIHTC experience, with CPA/MBA/JD preferred. Remote/hybrid opportunities and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field plus at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential preferred.
• Multi-state 9% and 4% LIHTC experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program, including 9% and 4% transactions, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Direct preparation and review of LIHTC applications under QAPs.
• Advise on equity pricing and investor requirements; support closings.
• Serve as client contact and advisor; coordinate with developers, lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
