Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a LIHTC Development Consultant to lead 9% and 4% LIHTC transactions from feasibility through closing. You will advise on strategy, capital stack, and underwriting while managing client relationships and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities include directing LIHTC applications, coordinating with agencies, and supporting closings. Advanced credentials and multi-state LIHTC experience are highly valued in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field with at least five years of LIHTC development or consulting experience.
• Preferred CPA, MBA, MRED, JD, or similar credential.
• Multi-state 9% and 4% LIHTC experience.
• Knowledge of LIHTC program including 9% and 4% transactions, QAPs, and state housing agency processes.
• Knowledge of affordable housing finance structures and capital stack development.
• Ability to analyze risks and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Strong communication of complex financial and regulatory LIHTC concepts.
• Relationship management and advisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIHTC development strategy, feasibility analysis, and capital stack structuring.
• Direct LIHTC applications under QAPs and guide awards and post-award requirements.
• Review sources and uses, credit calculations, and operating pro formas.
• Advise on equity pricing and investor requirements.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with lenders, investors, attorneys, and agencies.
• Mentor staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
