Job summary

Wealthsimple is seeking a Marketing Developer to join our Growth & Lifecycle Marketing team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

This highly technical role sits at the intersection of marketing, development, and data, and will be the technical anchor for our multi-channel lifecycle programs, building sophisticated automation, interactive email, in-app and web experiences, and ensuring our marketing tech stack runs smoothly.

Qualifications

3–5 years of email development experience: coding and maintaining templates or design systems.
Expert-level email development: HTML/CSS, responsive design, client quirks.
Interactive email techniques: dropdowns, carousels, AMP for email.
Marketing automation expertise: Braze, Iterable or SFMC.
Taxi for Email or other EDS platform experience.
Advanced scripting: Liquid, webhooks, dynamic content.
SQL proficiency for segmentation and reporting.
API integrations beyond native tools.
Strong troubleshooting for email and platform issues.
Translate business needs into technical solutions and scalable processes.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain email templates and design system components.
Build interactive email experiences and AMP for email.
Code advanced techniques like background images, device targeting, dark mode support.
Provide development guidance to Lifecycle Marketing for email and in-app builds.
Stay updated on industry changes and email client support updates.
Act as SME on email and in-app feasibility and channel nuances.
Troubleshoot complex email, in-app and web template issues.
