Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks an Account Manager for field-based coverage of the Boston area. The role drives growth of LMS LSR products and services, building key relationships in MA and RI. Remote work is available, with travel about 20% domestically.

You will lead strategies with the selling team to expand funnel and sales, manage opportunities in Salesforce, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet targets and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry or related scientific field is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years selling products of a technical nature.
• Demonstrated understanding of Microscopy / Imaging / Application.
• Strong relationship building and communication skills.
• Knowledge of commercial, government or university sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Account management: develop strategies to grow funnel and market share for Leica products in assigned territory.
• Funnel Generation: identify opportunities across product lines, focusing on lead generation in confocal and widefield portfolios.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by partnering with Sales Managers, Customer Service, Engineers and other teams.
• Funnel Management: manage pipeline with Salesforce and visual forecast tools, take appropriate next actions to close opportunities.
• Technical Capabilities: collaborate with customers to generate data and publications highlighting product benefits.
