Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years water/wastewater experience.
• Valid Driver’s License; state/site-specific operator license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet.

Responsibilities

• Operates valves, pumps, motors, belt presses and disinfection equipment.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of wells and wastewater systems.
• Documents plant performance, daily flow and chemical usage.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies to repair equipment.
• Cleans and maintains treatment plant grounds and equipment.
• Trains staff on SOPs, operations and safety practices.
• Communicates with clients about technical aspects of operations.
• May coordinate maintenance activities at the facility.
• Works all shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call emergencies.
