Job summary

Inframark LLC is seeking an Operator III to oversee operation and maintenance at water and/or wastewater facilities in Austin, Texas. A Water/Wastewater license and a high school diploma with at least four years of experience are required.

The role includes testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documenting plant performance, maintaining equipment, and providing client communications. Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and on-call 24/7, is required.

Qualifications

• Licenses: Wastewater Operator License; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery such as valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection systems, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production wells and treatment processes.
• Document plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage, and maintain equipment.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to repair pumps, motors, instrumentation, and other equipment.
• Ensure plant security and cleanliness, including grounds maintenance as needed.
• Train staff on operational procedures, equipment repair, and safety practices.
• Provide customer service support and communicate with clients on technical aspects of operations.
• May coordinate maintenance activities at the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call 24/7 as needed.

Operator III - Water/Wastewater Treatment

Job Function / Purpose

The Operator III is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment at medium to large-sized water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.

Water / Wastewater license required

Responsibilities

Education / Experience

Licenses / Certifications

Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred). Wastewater Operator License required . Other certifications may vary depending on site-specific needs.

Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater operations. Ability to interpret operational manuals and instructions. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based tools.

Physical Demands
