Job summary

Inframark is seeking an Operator III to operate and maintain equipment at medium to large water and/or wastewater treatment facilities. You will manage valves, pumps, motors, disinfection systems, and other plant machinery, while performing routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least four years in water/wastewater operations, and a Wastewater Operator License; a CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater operations.
• Wastewater Operator License required.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery such as valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection systems, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production wells and treatment processes.
• Document plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage, and maintain treatment facility equipment.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to repair pumps, motors, instrumentation, and other equipment.
• Ensure plant security and cleanliness, including grounds maintenance as needed.
• Train staff on operational procedures, equipment repair, and safety practices.
• Provide customer service support and communicate with clients on technical aspects of operations.
• May coordinate maintenance activities at the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call 24/7 as needed.
