Job summary

Inframark in Austin is seeking an Operator III for water and wastewater systems. You will operate and maintain plant equipment, monitor processes, and respond to incidents to ensure reliable operations.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a wastewater operator license, and at least four years of relevant experience. CDL preferred and readiness to work varied shifts, including weekends and on-call. Proficiency in MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of water/wastewater operations experience.
• License and certifications will be site-specific per regulations.
• Wastewater Operator License required; CDL preferred at some sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery such as valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection systems, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production wells and treatment processes.
• Document plant performance including daily flow and chemical usage, and maintain treatment facility equipment.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies to repair pumps, motors, instrumentation, and other equipment.
• Ensure plant security and cleanliness, including grounds maintenance as needed.
• Train staff on operational procedures, equipment repair, and safety practices.
• Provide customer service support and communicate with clients on technical aspects of operations.
• May coordinate maintenance activities at the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call 24/7 as needed.
