Job summary

Inframark is hiring a licensed water operator to work in Lanett, AL. We are looking for a Class IV Water Operator in Alabama, or the ability to use reciprocity to obtain an Alabama license.

The role entails operating pumps and valves, monitoring controls, conducting chemical treatments, collecting samples, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards at the plant. A valid driver’s license is required; a Water Operator License is preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher, biology/chemistry/environmental science background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Water Operator License preferred or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate water pumping mechanisms to regulate flow and pressure.
• Monitor panel boards and adjust controls to regulate flow and distribution of water.
• Perform chemical treatment and monitor chemical composition of water.
• Record readings, test results and equipment adjustments for reports.
• Calibrate meters and collect samples for lab tests (pH, D.O., CL2).
• Maintain, clean and stock materials on trucks and equipment; housekeeping duties.
• Attend safety training and comply with company safety policies.
