Job summary

ASPCA’s Community Medicine team is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Bronx clinic. You will work in a high-volume environment with surgeons and clinicians, performing medical duties, assisting with spay/neuter surgeries, and supporting outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinary technician or eligible to obtain NY license within 30 days.
• Excellent animal handling and customer service skills required.
• Proficiency with computers and medical record keeping.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand 8+ hours daily.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections and monitor anesthesia during procedures.
• Maintain medical records and support CM staff and veterinarians.
