Zusammenfassung

The ASPCA’s Community Medicine team seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager for the Bronx clinic. You will support HQHVSN and PPC services for cats and dogs, directing floor workflow and assisting veterinarians.

This is an on-site role with a Monday–Friday schedule; occasional coverage at other NYC locations may be required. Must have NY RVT license, 5 years RVT experience, and 2 years of people management; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Graduated from an accredited veterinary technology program (2–4 years).
• Currently licensed as a New York State Veterinary Technician.
• Minimum five years as an RVT in small animal medicine.
• Shelter medicine or high-volume spay/neuter experience preferred.
• Minimum two years of people management experience.

Aufgaben

• Venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep and recovery.
• Assist veterinarians with HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs.
• Use low-stress handling to ensure safety for animals and staff.
• Coordinate floor workflow and optimize daily patient flow.
• Train and onboard new nursing staff; provide feedback.
• Lead clinic team as part of the CVC Leadership Team.
• Ensure compliance with CM protocols and DEA regulations.
