Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Community Medicine team in New York. You will work with CM veterinarians and technicians to provide high-volume spay/neuter and preventive care at our Brooklyn clinic and mobile sites.

Requirements include NYS Veterinary Technician license, strong animal handling, and excellent client communication. The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to CM procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from accredited school of veterinary science technology or equivalent.
• Strong animal handling and client communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary support role.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections and monitor anesthesia and vital signs.
• Maintain patient records and assist in clinics and outreach.
