Job summary

The ASPCA's Community Veterinary Clinic in the Bronx seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager to oversee HQHVSN and PPC services for cats and dogs. You will direct floor workflow, assist veterinarians, and ensure compassionate, high-quality care in a busy clinic.

Ideal candidates have NY State RVT license, 5+ years experience, 2+ years in people management, and strong communication. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred; on-site role with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have NY State Veterinary Technician license.
• Minimum five years experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Minimum two years people management experience.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds repeatedly and stand 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assistance, diagnostics, pharmacy and patient recovery.
• Support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs, ensuring high-quality care.
• Use low-stress handling techniques to provide a safe environment for animals and staff.
• Communicate effectively with clients, assist with intake, history and discharge.
