Job summary

Macy's in Los Angeles is seeking a Manager for the licensed Starbucks cafe inside our store. You will oversee daily operations, drive sales, control costs, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while adhering to brand standards and health regulations.

You will recruit and develop Supervisors and Baristas, schedule labor, manage inventory and invoices, and partner with Macy's leadership to deliver safe, profitable results. A strong leader with ServSafe-style mindset will thrive here.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of retail/restaurant/food service management.
• ServSafe certification or food handler permit as required by local health department.
• Ability to obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on safety and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cafe operations to meet safety, efficiency, and brand standards.
• Recruit, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas for a high-performing team.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold Starbucks and Macy's service expectations.
• Manage food and beverage quality, cost controls, and merchandising to meet budgets.
• Develop schedules and labor plans to optimize productivity and service levels.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and invoicing to control costs.
• Review financial reports and take actions to hit sales and profit goals.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health compliance across the cafe.
• Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with Macy's leadership and Starbucks District Managers on priorities.
• Model professionalism and alignment with company values.
