Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Daily Operations Leader for the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s in Boston. You will direct daily cafe operations, uphold Starbucks and Macy’s standards, and lead a team of baristas to deliver quality beverages and service.

You will coach colleagues, manage safety and compliance, assist with ordering and inventory, monitor labor and costs, and foster a welcoming, professional environment that supports sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification or local food handler permit as required by state or local health department.
• Retail, food service, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cafe operations, ensuring safety, sanitation, and quality.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by upholding Starbucks standards.
• Train and coach colleagues to maximize team performance and satisfaction.
• Manage beverage preparation, presentation, and adjustments to meet requests.
• Monitor labor productivity and balance costs with service needs.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory, and invoice processing.
• Track sales and expenses to support profit goals and communicate priorities.
• Oversee cash handling and POS operations according to policies.
• Maintain a clean, professional cafe environment and model conduct.
• Collaborate with store leadership to ensure operational excellence.
