Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Manager, Starbucks to lead the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s in Los Angeles. You will oversee daily cafe operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer experience while upholding brand standards and health regulations.

Lead a team of Supervisors and Baristas, plan labor, manage costs, and partner with Macy’s and Starbucks leadership to achieve financial goals. This role requires flexible scheduling, ServSafe or equivalent certification, and a focus on safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2+ years retail/restaurant/food service management.
• Starbucks or Starbucks licensed café experience preferred.
• ServSafe certified or food handler permit as required by state or local health department.
• Ability to obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications within introductory period.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all cafe operations ensuring safety, efficiency, and brand standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in line with Starbucks and Macy’s standards.
• Maintain food and beverage quality, presentation, and merchandising per Starbucks standards.
• Develop schedules and labor plans to optimize productivity and costs.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and invoicing to control costs and stay within budget.
• Review financial reports and act to meet sales, expense, and profit goals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
• Oversee cash handling and POS operations.
• Collaborate with Macy’s leadership and Starbucks District Managers on strategy.
