Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Manager, Starbucks to oversee the licensed café inside Macy’s Paramus location. You will drive daily operations, coaching Supervisors and Baristas, while delivering a safe, profitable customer experience aligned with Starbucks and Macy’s standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in retail/food service management, ServSafe certification, and the ability to obtain additional Starbucks certifications within the introductory period.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of retail, restaurant, or food service management.
• Must be ServSafe certified or have a food handler permit as required by local health department.
• Must obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications for Starbucks Licensed leaders within introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all café operations, ensuring safe, efficient, brand-right environment and compliance with standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas to build a motivated team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by modeling Starbucks standards and Macy’s service expectations.
• Ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and merchandising of all food and beverage products.
• Develop and execute schedules and labor plans to optimize productivity and control costs.
• Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and invoice processing to meet budgets.
• Review financial reports and take action to meet sales and profit goals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations; maintain a clean environment.
• Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and adherence to policies.
