Job summary

Premise Health in Pella, IA is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care at our on-site health center for client employees and their dependents. Hours are as needed during clinic hours.

You will document care, administer medications, perform wound care, and maintain infection control while ensuring accurate health records. Requirements include LPN/LVN license in state, BLS certification, and 3+ years in ambulatory/occupational health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN accredited program and an Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Licensed as LPN/LVN in state of practice.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent).
• At least 3 years of clinical LPN/LVN experience in ambulatory/occupational health/ED.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and collaboration under supervision of providers.
• Document medical tasks including medications, wound care, specimens per orders.
• Maintain equipment, safe environment, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient health records and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse, You'll Provide Care To Client Employees And Their Dependents In Our Health Center Located In Pella, IA. The Scheduled Hours Are As Needed During Clinic Hours Of

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
