Job summary

Premise Health in Tuscaloosa, AL is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to client employees and dependents in our Health Center. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and Every Other Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

You will perform direct patient care, document medical tasks, maintain records, and support clinical operations under supervision. A valid LPN license and BLS are required; ambulatory/occupational health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN-accredited program; Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college
• Currently licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in Alabama
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in ambulatory care, occupational health, or ED

• Maintains patient health records and documentation

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
