Job summary

Premise Health in Pella, IA is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to client employees and their dependents at our Health Center. The on-call LPN will support two nearby sites during clinic hours, with shifts that align to standard clinic times and occasional extended hours.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with providers. Applicants must be a NLN-accredited graduate with an LPN/LVN license in the state, hands-on BLS, and 3+ years in

Qualifications

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program with an Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Currently licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent).
• At least three years of clinical LPN/LVN experience in ambulatory, occupational health, or emergency department settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision and within scope of practice.
• Document medical tasks including medication administration, wound care, and specimen collection per provider orders.
• Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean, safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date patient health records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

RN as needed during clinic hours for 2 Nearby Sites

Clinic Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Thu 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting
