Job summary

Premise Health Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to client employees at our Health Center. The schedule is 11 hours per week: Wednesday 7am-12pm and Thursday 7am-1pm.

New grads are welcome to apply; strong phlebotomy skills are required. Responsibilities include direct patient care under supervision, medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, and maintaining records and a clean environment.

Qualifications

• NLN-accredited nursing program graduate
• Active LPN/LVN license in state of practice
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required
• Minimum three years clinical experience in ambulatory/occupational health/ED

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of healthcare providers.
• Performs and documents medical tasks including medication administration, wound care, and specimen collection as ordered.
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean environment and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient health records and ensures accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Provides direct patient care and collaboration under the supervision of healthcare providers, and within scope of practice.
• Performs and documents medical tasks to include medication administration wound care, observes reactions to treatments, and specimen collection such as urine, blood, and sputum based on provider orders.
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Currently Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in state of practice required.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• At least three years of clinical experience as LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting.
