Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers who can blend business development with technical workload. You will develop client relationships, review tests, seal reports, and manage a book of work while the company supplies lab staff and a quality system.

Qualifications

Active PE license (civil/geotechnical/structural) in the posting state or via comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
Proven ability to bring in work or a credible plan to do so in this market.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, write proposals, negotiate terms, and convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record: review field and laboratory data, resolve failing tests, seal reports/letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
