Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to drive business development and deliver technical leadership. You will manage client relationships, seal reports, and oversee testing coordination, while growing the book of business in materials testing, geotechnical services, and special inspection.

Base salary plus revenue share supports a winner-takes-more approach. Expect regular travel to client offices and sites; you’ll balance selling with engineering duties, review

Qualifications

• Active PE license (civil/geotechnical/structural) in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client facing responsibility.
• Track record of bringing in work or a credible market development plan.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients — general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms — for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review data, resolve issues, and seal reports/letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
