Qualifications

• Active PE license or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in materials testing/geotechnical engineering or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or present a credible plan for market success.
• Comfortable pricing, negotiating, and declining unfavorable contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on winning projects: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
