Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to drive business development while delivering technical work. You will manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and seal reports as engineer of record.

Expect travel to client sites and coordination with a staffed laboratory and field team. You will balance sales with engineering tasks, review field and lab data, and coordinate testing schedules.

Qualifications

• PE license required or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven ability to bring in work or have a credible plan to do so.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects won: review data, seal reports and letters; direct technicians and inspectors.
