Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas seeks licensed Professional Engineers who are comfortable pitching testing programs in a contractor's office and reviewing compaction reports or sealing geotechnical letters.

You will build and manage a book of clients—general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms—for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services. You will scope, price, and write proposals and convert opportunities into signed work.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects; review field/lab data and seal reports.
• Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the lab on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
