Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to drive business development while delivering technical excellence. You will manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and convert opportunities into signed work.

You will serve as engineer of record, review data, seal reports, and guide field staff while coordinating with our Sugar Land laboratory network and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil/geotechnical/structural, or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Track record of bringing in work, or a credible plan to do so.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review data, seal reports and letters; coordinate with laboratory staff.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
