Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers who can blend business development with rigorous technical review. You will manage client relationships, scope and price proposals, and seal reports as the engineer of record.

The role combines sales activity with engineering execution, within our Sugar Land-based support framework and field labs. The ideal candidate has a valid PE license (civil/geotechnical/structural) and 6+ years in related work, including client-facing

Qualifications

Active PE license in the posting state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
Experience in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record on projects won; review data, seal reports and letters.
Direct technicians and inspectors; coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
