Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to blend business development with technical workload. You will maintain client relationships, review tests, seal reports, and lead projects while the lab and field staff are provided by the company.

Qualifications

Active PE license in the posting state or by comity within 90 days.
6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
Proven ability to bring in work or credible plan to do so.
Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services; scope, price, and write proposals; convert opportunities into signed work.
Serve as engineer of record on won projects: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters; direct technicians and coordinate with the lab on testing schedules.
Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
