Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to grow and manage a book of clients while handling technical workload. You will sell testing programs to general contractors, owners, and design firms, write and price proposals, and seal reports as engineer of record.

The role blends business development with engineering oversight and requires travel to client sites. The role offers a base salary with a revenue share, backed by a full laboratory and field staff.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil, geotechnical, or structural engineering.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection; client-facing experience.
• Proven track record or credible plan to bring in work; comfortable pricing and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms and convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record; review data, seal reports and letters; coordinate with laboratory.
• Lead technicians and inspectors; coordinate testing schedules and fieldwork with the lab.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
