Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to plan and administer therapy plans that relieve pain, restore function, and promote overall health. The role serves as a clinical resource, educator, and mentor for staff and students within a hospital setting.

The OT will design care plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the medical team to ensure optimal outcomes and smooth discharge.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT in good standing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required).
• BLS within 30 days - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Designs an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Assesses for, creates, modifies, fits custom splints/orthotics.
• Educates patients and families to understand treatment and home exercise programs.
• Communicates with the medical team to coordinate care.
• Performs documentation according to department standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards.
