Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatment plans that alleviate pain, restore function, and promote health. The role serves as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students, ensuring high standards of patient care across the team.

You will design individualized care plans, assess needs, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the medical team to optimize outcomes and discharge planning in a supportive, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT with Illinois IDFPR license (or eligible).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Designs a comprehensive plan of care with goals, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Performs patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Evaluates and fits custom splints/orthotics as needed.
• Educates patients, families and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Communicates with the medical team and documents care.
