Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing and hygiene protocols.
• Provide accurate information regarding frames, lens selections and services.
• Explain insurance benefits to customers and inform about charges not covered.
• Utilize SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Interpret prescriptions and communicate with Lab and Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with accurate measurements.
