Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an Optical Dispensing Assistant to help customers select frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and dispense products. You will ensure accurate pricing and maintain a clean dispensing area while following HIPAA and privacy policies.

The role requires state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Experience explaining optical products and interpreting prescriptions.
• Ability to fit and dispense frames, lenses and accessories.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection while maintaining social distancing.
• Provide accurate product information on frames, lenses and services.
• Explain insurance benefits and charges not covered by third-party plans.
• Use SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and recommend lenses.
• Communicate with Lab and Optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy.
• Verify measurements and dispense frames per eyewear presentation.
