Job summary

Affinity EyeCare Group (AEG) in East Harwich, MA is hiring a Licensed Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will guide patients in selecting eyewear and accessories, ensure proper frame fit, accurate lens dispensing, and explain insurance coverage during visits.

You will collaborate with technicians and doctors, manage orders, and provide high-quality service to maintain trust and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required to practice as an Optician in MA.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is needed.
• HIPAA requirements knowledge preferred.
• PC skills include MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and fashion.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Explain insurance coverage, copays, and warranties to patients.
• Take and communicate patient orders, update on status, and resolve issues.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs and ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of framing displays and work areas.
• Keep up to date on products, rebates, lenses, and frame types.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and related systems.
