AEG in Massachusetts is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in frame and lens selection, ensure proper measurements, and dispense accurately while delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, updating EHR records, handling order status, and educating patients on insurance, warranties, and care. The role requires license, strong communication, and precise, friendly service.

Qualifications

State licensure to practice as an optician.
High school diploma or GED required.
ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
Experience in optical dispensing and HIPAA familiarity.
Proficient PC skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
Pleasant demeanor; sales experience helpful.
Manual dexterity for precise work.

Responsibilities

Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses to fit prescription and lifestyle.
Take measurements, ensure proper fit, and dispense lenses with accuracy.
Stay current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
Handle patient calls, update order status, and escalate issues.
Educate patients on care, warranties, and coverage.
Enter prescriptions into EHR and ALE systems and attach docs.
Verify orders within time guidelines and notify when ready.
Dispense glasses and adjust for comfort and accuracy.
Maintain clean, organized workstation and displays.
Communicate with technicians and managers to relay patient needs.
