AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients select frames and lenses that fit prescriptions, lifestyles, and personal style, while ensuring proper fit, measurements, and accurate dispensing.

You will maintain knowledge of products, insurance plans, and lens technologies; communicate with technicians and managers; and deliver a seamless patient experience from selection to order fulfillment.

Qualificações

• State Licensure is required.
• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills and sales experience a plus.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience with clear product recommendations.
• Receive patient handoff and identify visual needs through lifestyle questions.
• Keeps up-to-date on products, rebates, lenses and frame options.
• Take and return patient calls; update patients on order status and resolve issues.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranties, and care plans.
• Understand insurance plans, benefits, copays, and coverage limits.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into EHR and ALE systems.
• Follow-up on pending orders and notify patients when ready.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and polish lenses; adjust as needed.
• Use tools to adjust and repair eyewear and ensure comfort.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and issues.
• Inspect final products for quality and cleanliness.
• Maintain organized frame displays and practice cleanliness.
• Answer product and pricing questions accurately; support upselling where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
