AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Massachusetts. You will assist patients with frame selection, ensure proper measurements, and process prescriptions with care.

Qualifications

State Licensure is required to practice as an optician.
High School diploma or GED required.
Optical dispensing experience preferred.
ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
HIPAA experience preferred.
PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor; sales experience a plus.
Good manual dexterity for handling eyewear and instruments.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription and lifestyle.
Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE systems and maintain patient records.
Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and issues.
Dispense glasses, check fit, and adjust as needed.
Explain lens treatments, warranties, and care to patients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and displays.
Explain insurance benefits, copays, and coverage to patients.
Perform duties as assigned by the manager.
