Job summary

AEG Vision in Jamaica Plain, MA is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories, ensure proper fit, accuracy of measurements, and lens dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, coordinate with technicians and doctors, maintain knowledge of insurance benefits, and deliver an extraordinary patient experience with strong service and sales skills.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required.
• High School or GED completed.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office/Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience and explain recommendations clearly.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments to fit prescription and lifestyle.
• Stay current on products, rebates, and lens options available.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system and ensure documentation.
• Monitor order status and inform patients of progress and delays.
