Job summary

Visionworks of America seeks an Optical Associate to assist customers with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions, and dispense eyewear with accuracy and care. You will apply the SERVE sales process, communicate with the Lab and Optometrist, ensure proper pricing, and keep a clean, organized dispensing area while upholding HIPAA privacy.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing; this is a full-time role with pay ranging

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products and interpreting prescriptions.
• Ability to fit and dispense frames and lenses per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection and dispense accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, HIPAA, and cleaning protocols.
• Provide accurate product information regarding frames, lens selections, and services.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames with accurate measurements and pricing.
• Communicate with Lab and Optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy.
