Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. is seeking a full-time Optical Aide to assist customers in selecting frames and lenses, interpreting prescriptions, and providing accurate product information.

You will work with customers to ensure proper lens choices, communicate with the lab, and maintain a clean, compliant dispensing area. The role requires state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing, strong customer service, and the ability to effectively present information to customers and colleagues in a retail

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Ability to explain optical products, services and prescriptions.
• Strong interpersonal and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with frame and lens selection and dispense frames.
• Provide accurate product information on frames, lenses and services.
• Communicate with lab and optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy.
• Ensure pricing accuracy for retail customers.
• Maintain dispensing area clean and organized.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies.
