Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers see clearly by taking measurements, fitting eyewear, and ensuring each piece meets our standards and customer needs.

As part of a collaborative team, you will explain prescription terminology, advise on frames and lenses, and contribute to a superior customer experience aligned with Warby Parker’s mission.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• Passionate about eyewear and retail.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain terms to customers clearly.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a strong team player.
• Open-minded, lifelong learner, and able to handle fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Check eyewear against optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Contribute to best practices for sales and customer service.
• Represent Warby Parker and educate customers about our mission.
