Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our in-house optical team. You will become an expert on our glasses, help customers see clearly, and ensure precise measurements and fittings.

You’ll explain prescription terms and guide customers to the best frames and lenses with exceptional service. The ideal candidate is licensed or ABO-certified, passionate about eyewear, and a proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license, or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.
• Dedicated to going above and beyond to satisfy customers and teammates.
• Energetic, positive team player who adapts in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Not on the LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyewear needs and guide selections.
• Take and record measurements, fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Verify eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings clearly.
• Collaborate with team to establish best practices for sales and service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, face, and lifestyle.
• Represent the brand to educate customers about Warby Parker values and mission.
